Wiltshire Scout Centre

Our complex consists of a main building and six separate camping areas. It is used predominantly as a training centre, the facilities serve well for those wishing to use it as a base for Pack holidays etc.

The recently redeveloped main building consists of a large meeting room that can be divided into two, 3 smaller rooms for meetings / breakouts etc, a kitchen/dining area, toilets, showers and facilities for those with special needs . A covered activity area is also available attached to the main building.

The camping areas have room for approximately 100 and you are required to use altar fires when open fire cooking, a number of which are availble to use. There is a separate toilet and shower block available and external sinks provided for cleaning up as well as a disposal point for Elsan toilets.

The site can arrange for archery, climbing, canoeing and shooting in the vicinity. It is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists with the opportunity to walk along the Ridgeway, canal towpath or on Salisbury plain, with many Stone Age sites to be seen along the way including, of course, Stonehenge.

The nearest bus stop is only three minutes walk away and the Village is only a couple of minutes further. Shopping can be done at either Devizes or Salisbury, which are 3 and 21 miles away respectively, however there is a Post office and a local shop in the Village.
